TOSCA:
The Royal Opera's very own Gitta-Maria Sjöberg WAS Tosca and there was in the middle of the drama, as is always the case with her, a gentleness and gracefulness which gave Puccini's female character so many facets: the rebelious, the jealous, the corageous, the desperate and the reluctantly erotic. It was a brilliant performance perfectly paired with the great tenor Stuart Neill as Cavaradossi.
